PARISH NEWS WOMEN’S SPIRITUALITY CAFÉ will meet on Tuesday, September 14th, at 7:30 pm in the Rackley Room. Because of the Labor Day weekend, this is a change in our usual schedule for the 1st Tuesday of each month. At this meeting our topic will be “Mary, Mother of Jesus.” This is most appropriate because September 8th is the traditional day on which the Church celebrates the birthday of Mary. Her birthday marks the beginning of God’s plan in this world for Mary to become the Virgin Mother of God and our Mother, too. Hope to see you then. Sister Miriam, M.S.B.T. 201-664-9130. BIBLE STUDY - Wednesday morning Bible Study will meet at 9:30 am on Wednesday, September 8th, in the Rackley Room. We’ll enjoy coffee together, and discuss how we want to make use of our time this year, topics, etc. Look forward to being with you. Sister Miriam, M.S.B.T. 201-664-9130. SECOND COLLECTION - There will be a second collection next weekend September 11th and 12th, for Eastern Europe. Please be as generous as your means will allow. DAILY MASS SCHEDULE resumes this week. Masses are at 7:30 and 8:45 am Monday through Friday SUNDAY MASS SCHEDULE - Starting next Sunday, September 12th, the 10:30 am Mass will be celebrated in the Marian Center. LABOR DAY - There will be no 7:30 am Mass this Monday because of the Labor Day holiday. PARISH FOOD COLLECTION - Even though we are in the “lazy, hazy days of summer” we cannot become lazy about our little food pantry. The need is still very great. Please don’t forget that we are collecting weekly to help those in our community. The week of September 12th we are collecting Soups.

The extermination of millions of unborn children, in the name of the fight against poverty, actually constitutes the destruction of the poorest of all human beings.” - Pope Benedict XVI, “Message for the Celebration of the World Day of Peace,” January 1, 2009
